Weave your way to your very own rainbow basket!
STEP 3 Measure a 30cm length of rope.
Stick 1
end down, tucked into rope on
inside of a panel. Repeat with other
end of rope on opposite panel to form
a handle. Allow to dry.
GATHER YOUR SUPPLIES
Sheet of fluteboard; multicoloured poly
rope; scissors; contact adhesive; ruler;
assorted coloured feathers; coconut fibre
HERE’S HOW
STEP 1 Enlarge Basket Diagram as
directed, or adapt to suit. Cut out.
Trace on fluteboard and cut out.
Take tail end of rope and wedge between

of the gaps. Secure inside with a
dab of contact adhesive.
STEP 4 Draw a line of adhesive around
rim and stick down feathers. To keep
eggs safe, put a handful of coconut
fibre in bottom of basket, like a nest.
STEP 2 Working your way around cut
out, weave rope in and out of panels,
pushing down and pulling tight every
now and again so it fits snugly with
no gaps, so panels gradually form
a basket shape. Once you have weaved
your way to the top, snip rope and
glue end inside basket.
